We’re excited to have Bob Sampson joining our team to help hone our focus on the user experience. As a product designer, Bob will be working closely with me and the rest of the product team as we incubate ideas, engage clients about their needs, and refine the experience of our product.
Bob has a strong background in enterprise-level web application design experience, which made him a great fit for Allocadia. He’s comfortable working directly with those enterprise clients and getting useful feedback to enhance functionality in responsive ways. In addition, his samples blew me away and his references said he was quick to integrate requirements and make them real in the product. They also said he delivered results on time, and had fun doing it. We value all these traits at Allocadia.
Bob’s excitement for our product is infectious. “It’s a very powerful web application, loved by Allocadia’s own team and our growing list of clients alike, and my favorite part of our product is it’s growing,” he says.
Bob’s strong background in user experience and bringing him onto the product team is the latest move in our dedicated focus on the experience our customers have when using the product. With the amount of marketers within an organization that use our application, we know it has to be easy for everyone to use, not just expert users. Because of this, we embrace the concept of the “lovable product.”
Bob describes the concept this way:
“Everyone knows about the MVP, the Minimum Viable Product, a solid first version of features we know will grow in future releases. It’s a short-term strategy that works quickly to get features into the apps as we think of them, adding functionality, responding to user feedback, refining the interface and providing a better user experience.
The next step beyond MVP is a Minimum Lovable Product. This is where we don’t design a feature to be built piecemeal spread out across multiple releases, but we assess it internally, refine it, show prototypes to beta customers and continue refining until we have a solid foundation of a feature.”
As a product designer, Bob will use his experience in UEX to build MVPs and MLPs that our customers will continue to rely on as the product grows. We’re proud to have Bob on our team and can’t wait to see what he does next!
